This is how the Panathenaic Stadium will look once the renovation works being carried out by the Hellenic Olympic Committee are completed. The project is fully funded by Capital Maritime & Trading Corp., the company of Evangelos Marinakis.
🏃♂️ The new athletics track will meet the highest international standards, making the stadium eligible to host Diamond League competitions. Inspired by the colors of the Greek national flag, the new track will symbolize both excellence and national pride.
✨ As part of the restoration, the stadium's historic Pentelic marble will be meticulously cleaned using advanced laser technology, preserving its authenticity while restoring its original brilliance.
💡 A new state-of-the-art lighting system will also be installed, allowing the Panathenaic Stadium to host international athletics events and competitions under world-class conditions.
